How to Make a Container Ṭāhir with Qalīl Water

Issue No.176- In order to wash a najis container with less than kurr water, it should be filled and emptied three times, or each time, water should be poured into it, moved around in a way that water reaches all its najis parts, and then emptied.

How to Make Big Najis Containers Ṭāhir

Issue No.177- When it comes to washing large containers like cauldrons and crocks, they must be filled up and emptied three times, or, an easier way would be to pour water each time from above on all inner sides of it and every time, draw out the water collected at the bottom; it is necessary to rinse the bowl used for drawing out the water each time.

Issue No.178- If najis metal is rinsed, its exterior layer will become ṭāhir, though its interior may have become najis when it was molten.

How to Make Things Ṭāhir with Kurr or Flowing Water

Issue No.180- A najis object will become ṭāhir if it is washed with kurr, flowing or tap water enough that the original najāsah is removed or when it is immersed in kurr or flowing water after removing the original najāsah. However in the case of carpets, clothes, etc., they must also be wrung or shaken so that the water absorbed within them separates.

How a Najis Object in a Container Becomes Ṭāhir

Issue No.187- If something najis is placed in a container and water is poured on it three times with the container being emptied each time, both the najis object and the container become ṭāhir. And if it is something like clothes which needs to be squeezed, one must squeeze it and tilt the container so that the water empties out.

How to Make Najis Dyed Clothing Ṭāhir

Issue No.188- If najis clothing which is dyed is immersed in kurr or flowing water, or is held under tap water, it will become ṭāhir if water reaches all its parts before becoming “mixed water” by the dye, even though “mixed water” may come out upon squeezing. However, if it becomes “mixed water” before reaching all the parts, it should be washed enough that “unmixed water” reaches it.
