Things Which Are Makrūh for a Fasting Person
Issue No. 1398- Certain things are makrūh for a person who is fasting, some of them are mentioned below:1- Using eye drops. 2- Applying kohl if its taste or smell reaches the throat. 3- Performing an act which causes weakness, like drawing blood from the body or showering. 4- Using snuff or the like if one is not aware that it might reach the throatand if it is known that it will reach the throat it is not permissible.5- Smelling fragrant herbs.6- Sitting in water for women, based on precaution. (Meaning it is better not to do so)7- Using suppository, based on precaution. (Meaning it is better not to do so) 8- Wetting the clothes which one is wearing.9- Pulling out a tooth or every act which leads to weakness and bleeding in the mouth.10- Cleaning the teeth with a fresh wood.11- Kissing the wife without the intention of semen being discharged and every act which arouses lust. However if he does anything with the intention of discharging semen, his fast becomes void.
