Issue No.328- If a person suffers from an ailment owing to which the urine comes out continuously drop by drop, or he is not able to control his faeces (urinary and faecal incontinence), and he is sure that at some time during the prayer time, there will be a respite during which there will be a restraint, then he should perform wuḍū and perform prayer at such time, and he should perform only the obligatory acts of the prayers, and leave out the adhān, iqāmah and qunūt, if he knows that the time is not enough.

Issue No.329- If one has no respite for wuḍū and prayer it is sufficient to perform wuḍū for each prayer and start offering prayer immediately though something may come out during the prayer.

Issue No.330- As was explained if one suffers from continued incontinence that it is very hard for him to perform wuḍū for each time it is sufficient to perform wuḍū once; rather he can offer both prayers like ẓuhr and ‘aṣr prayers with one wuḍū though performing wuḍū for each one is a recommended precaution.

Issue No.331- If such people urinate and defecate by their own will, they must perform wuḍū.

Issue No.333- It is necessary for a person suffering from continued incontinence to perform Prayer immediately after wuḍū, and it is not necessary to perform a new wuḍū for performing Precautionary prayer [1] and the forgotten sajdah or tashahhud, provided that he does not leave a gap between the prayer and these acts.

Issue No.334- A person who has urinary and faecal incontinence should use a bag or similar things to prevent other parts of the body from becoming najis, and as an obligatory precaution, he should wash the outlet with water before every prayer.

Issue No.335- If those who suffer from such an ailment can be treated easily, it is necessary for them to get the problem treated, or else their wuḍū will be void as an obligatory precaution.

Issue No.336- When a person who has urinary and faecal incontinence recovers from the ailment, it is not necessary for him to repeat those prayers which he performed as prescribed during the period of his ailment. However, if he recovers before the time of a particular prayer ends, he should repeat that prayer, as an obligatory precaution.

Issue No.338- It is haram to touch the script of the holy Qur'an with any part of the body without wuḍū. However, there is no harm in touching the translation of the holy Qur'an, in any language without it.

Issue No.340- It is haram, as an obligatory precaution, to touch the Name of Allah, without wuḍū, in whichever language it is written. And it is also haram to touch, without wuḍū, the blessed names of the holy Prophet of Islam, the holy Imams and Lady Fatima (peace be upon them), if it violates their sanctity.

Issue No.341- It is recommended that in order to be in a state of ṭahārah, one performs wuḍū, whether it is near the time of prayer or not. And he can perform prayer with that wuḍū.

Issue No.342- If a person believes that the time for a prayer has commenced and makes the intention of obligatory wuḍū, but realizes after performing the wuḍū that the time for the prayer had not commenced, his wuḍū will be valid.
