Issue No. 1189- If a person is a traveller at the outset of prayer time and does not perform prayer and later he arrives in his hometown or a place he wishes to reside at for ten days, he should offer complete prayer. On the contrary, if a person who is not a traveller does not offer prayer at the beginning of prayer time, and goes on a journey, he should offer qaṣr prayer during the journey.

Issue No. 1190- If one’s prayer becomes qaḍā during travel, he should perform its qaḍā by performing qaṣr prayer even if he is performing the qaḍā at his hometown. On the contrary, if one’s prayer becomes qaḍā in his hometown, he should perform its qaḍā as complete, though he may be travelling at the time he offers its qaḍā.
Issue No. 1192- rules with respect to traveller’s prayer has nothing to do with the easiness or hardship of the journey, therefore in today’s comfortable journeys too, one should shorten his prayer in accordance with the foregoing conditions.
Issue No. 1193- A person who does not offer an obligatory prayer in the prescribed time, should offer qaḍā prayer though he may have been sleeping during the entire prayer time or may have failed to offer it owing to his having been ill or drunk. However, a person who has been unconscious during the entire prayer time, qaḍā is not obligatory upon him. Similarly, qaḍā is not obligatory on a non-Muslim who has embraced Islam and a woman who has had to leave out daily prayer, due to ḥayḍ or nifās.
Issue No. 1195- If a person has qaḍā prayer on him, he should not be negligent in offering it though it is not obligatory for him to offer it immediately. However, if a person has missed one or two prayers just before the prayer he is going to offer, he should, as an obligatory precaution, offer the qaḍā of those prayers before the prayer of the same day.
Issue No. 1197- If a person considers it probable that some of the prayers he has offered were not valid, or that he may have missed some prayers, the recommended precaution is that he should offer their qaḍā.
Issue No. 1201- If a person knows that he has not offered a four rak‘at prayer, but does not know whether it is ẓuhr, ‘aṣr, or ‘ishā’, it will be sufficient to offer a four-rak‘at prayer with the intention of offering “the lapsed prayer which has not been offered”. He has the option to offer sūrah al-fātiḥa and the other sūrah loudly or in a whispering manner.
Issue No. 1211- If a person has to offer his own qaḍā prayer and offer his own qaḍā fasts, and also wishes to offer the qaḍā prayer and fasts of his parents, whichever he offers first will be correct.
Issue No. 1216- A person who is hired to offer prayer or fast or any other acts of worship on behalf of a dead person, should specify the dead person while making the intention; it is not necessary that he know his/her name though. Hence, it is sufficient if he specifies him with a certain indication in his intention.
Issue No. 1225- If the hired person dies before completing the task, and if he himself had some qaḍā prayers of his own, it should be paid from his estate to hire someone to perform the prayer that he had been hired for and in case it was agreed that he himself should perform the qaḍā, a proportionate amount of wages for the remaining prayers should be returned. However, for his own qaḍā prayer, they cannot take from his estate unless with the heirs’ permission or that he has willed that one-third of his estate should be spent to perform the qaḍā of his qaḍā prayers.
Issue No. 1231- A person who gets obsessive during prayer so much that it leads to its invalidity; if he finds that he will get rid of his obsession if he offers his prayer in congregation, he must offer prayer in congregation.
