The Ruling regarding a Man Who Forces His Wife to Have Sexual Intercourse

Issue No. 1415- If a man who is fasting in the month of Ramadan has sexual intercourse with his wife who is also fasting, if he has compelled her to do so, he should offer kaffāra for both himself and his wife and both should perform qaḍā. However, if she had wilfully accepted sexual intercourse, one kaffāra becomes obligatory on both. However, if he compels her to commit an invalidator other than sexual intercourse, he has committed a sin, but it will not be obligatory upon either of them to offer kaffāra, but the one who has broken his fast should perform qaḍā.

Issue No. 866Nīyyat (Intention)

One Shoud Specify What Prayer He Is Going to Offer in Nīyyat

Issue No.866- When a person is making intention, he should specify that he is, for example, offering ẓuhr or ‘aṣr prayer or any other prayer. And if he makes intention that he is offering four rak‘ats, it is not sufficient, rather, he should specify in his intention the prayer he is going to offer and as an obligatory precaution; he should also specify whether it is adā or qaḍā.

One Who Offers the Prayer Itself for Allah But He Offers It in a Mosque for Showing Off

Issue No.870- If he offers the prayer itself for Allah but he offers it at a particular place, e.g. in a mosque or at a particular time, e.g., at the beginning of the time or in a special manner, e.g., in congregation, in order to show off, his prayer is void. However, if it is not for showing off, but because it is easier for him to offer it in mosque or at the beginning of the time, then there will be no problem.

Stillness of the Body When Pronouncing Dhikr

Issue No.886- When a person is reciting obligatory dhikr in the prayer, his body should be still. The same rule applies to recommended dhikr which should be recited in specific place. However, if one does not do so his prayer is valid nonetheless he should not intentionally do that again.
