Falling the Pages of The Holy Quran and a Paper with Holy Names in a Najis Place

Issue No.162- If a page of the holy Qur'an, supplication or a paper on which the names of Allah Almighty, the holy prophet (ṣ) or the holy Imams (as) are written, falls in a najis place, it is obligatory to take it out and make it ṭāhir immediately even if it entails some expense. In the case of it not being possible to take it out and it has fallen into a lavatory, the use of that lavatory must be discontinued until one is certain that the page has disintegrated or the script has faded away as an obligatory precaution.

Fasting Is not Permissible for a Traveler

Issue No. 1440- A traveller should not fast as per the conditions and rulings that were explained in the section relating to the prayer of a traveller. Generally, one should not observe fast wherever the prayer should performed as qaṣr, and wherever a traveller offers full prayers (like a person whose profession is travelling or who has intended to stay in a place for ten days), he should observe fast.

Issue No. 1367- If a person is obliged to immerse his head in water in order to save a human being from drowning, his fast is void as an obligatory precaution. However, saving a human’s life is obligatory and one should perform the qaḍā of the broken fast, if he immerses his head in water.

Issue No. 2037Marriage and Marital life

Father's Permission for Virgin Girl

Issue No. 2037- A virgin girl should obtain permission from her father or paternal grandfather for marriage but if she is rashīdah, (i.e., she is able to decide what is in her interest) and according to the prominent figures of the girl’s family the man and woman suit one another, however, the girl’s father disagrees, then there is no need for his permission anymore. The same ruling applies if a girl had married in the past.
