When One Who Offers Prayer in Sitting Position Doubts about Number of Rak‘ats

Issue No. 1085 - If a doubt in which one rak‘at of Precautionary prayer in standing posture or two rak‘at in sitting posture is required, occurs for a person who performs prayer in sitting posture, he should perform one rak‘at in sitting posture. And if a doubt in which two rak‘ats of Precautionary prayer in standing posture is required, occurs, he should perform two rak‘ats in sitting posture. The same ruling applies in other doubts.

Issue No.147- When oil or syrup is in fluid state, if a spot of it becomes najis the entire quantity will become najis. However, if it is not fluid and does not spread from one part to another only the spot that has come in contact with najāsah becomes najis and it can be removed and thrown away.

Issue No. 665Rulings of Tayammum

When Performing Tayammum in Place of Ghusl

Issue No.665- If a person performs tayammum instead of ghusl, it is not necessary for him to perform wuḍū or perform another tayammum instead of wuḍū irrespective of whether it is instead of ghusl of janābah or other ghusls. However, the recommended precaution is that, in case of other ghusls, he should do wuḍū and if he cannot do so, he should perform another tayammum instead of wuḍū.

When Qalīlah Istiḥāḍah Becomes Kathīrah During Prayer

Issue No.420- If a woman in the state of qalīlah istiḥāḍah finds out during prayer that her bleeding has become kathīrah, she should stop performing prayer and do ghusl and offer the prayer again, and in the case of her not having enough time for ghusl, she should perform tayammum. However, if she has no time for tayammum either, she should finish the prayer and as an obligatory precaution, offer that prayer as qaḍā.
