Issue No.284- There are twelve conditions for the validity of wuḍū: First condition: The water should be ṭāhir. Second condition: The water should be unmixed.Therefore, wuḍū performed with najis or mixed water is void, even if one may not be aware of its being najis or mixed, or may have forgotten about it. And one must repeat prayers performed with such wuḍū.

(iii) If an external najāsah reaches the anus. In the cases other than those mentioned above, the anus can be made ṭāhir either by water, or by using three pieces of paper, stone, cloth, etc.
Issue No.1122- A person can get the distance between two places in various ways: First, he himself has measured the distance and made sure about it. Second, it is well-known among the people. Third, a reliable person informs the traveller.
Issue No.720- There are many ways for determining the direction of the qiblah: First, one should make efforts to locate the direction of the qiblah such that he becomes sure of it. Also, he can act upon the statement of two just persons, or one reliable person who gives evidence on the basis of sensory signs, or act upon the statement of a person who knows the direction of the qiblah by a reliable scientific rule. If that is not possible, he should guess through the altar (miḥrāb) of the mosque or from the graves of the Muslims, or by other ways and means, and act accordingly.
Issue No.30- There are two ways of establishing that the quantity of water is equal to kurr: 1) A person should be sure about it himself2) At least one just person should say so.

Issue No. 2133- Suckling a child which becomes the cause of being maḥram can be established by the following two ways:1- A number of persons whose word is reliable say so.2- When two just men or four just women testify to it. Rather, the obligatory precaution is that, if one just man and one just woman testify, it will be sufficient. However, the witnesses should tell the conditions of suckling. For example, they should say that they had witnessed that a certain child was suckled fully by a certain woman for fifteen times with the conditions that were mentioned in Issue No. 2116. In case however, we know that they are aware of all those conditions and they agree with each other in this regard, then it will not be necessary for them to explain them.
Issue No.5- There are three ways of identifying a Mujtahid and the a‘lam:a) One is himself a learned person and is able to identify a Mujtahid or the most learned (a‘lam).b) When two persons, who are learned and just, simply confirm that a person is a Mujtahid or the most learned (a‘lam), provided that two other learned and just persons do not contradict them.c) When one is widely known among learned people and in the seminary sphere to be the most learned (a‘lam) to a degree that causes certainty.
