Issue No. 1467- Fasting on the day that is not known to be the end of Sha’ban or the first of the month of Ramadan with the intention of the first day of the month of Ramadan is Haram and invalid; rather, one should have the intention of the last day of Sha’ban when observing fast on that day.
Issue No. 1379- The sleep during which a person had a seminal discharge is not considered to be the first sleep. However, if he wakes up from that sleep and sleeps again, it will be considered as the first sleep.
Issue No. 1705- The fiṭrah of a child who is breastfed by its mother or a wet nurse is due on the one who bears the expenses of the mother or the wet nurse. However, if the mother or the nurse meets her expenses from the property of the child itself, payment of fiṭrah for the child is not obligatory on any person.
Issue No. 1278- The follower should not say takbīrat-ul-iḥrām before the imam. However, there is no harm in saying other Dhikrs before him, though the recommended precaution is that he should not do so if he hears the imam’s voice.
Issue No. 1274- The follower should recite all the things of the prayers himself, except sūrah al-fātiḥa and the other sūrah; that is, when he joins the congregational prayers while the imam is reciting in the first rak‘at. However, if the first or second rak‘at of the follower is the third or fourth rak‘at of the imam, he should recite sūrah al-fātiḥa and the other sūrah.
Issue No. 1245- The followers should not stand ahead of the imam. Therefore, if a follower, at the start of the congregation or during it, stands ahead of the imam, his prayer in congregation would be void. The obligatory precaution also, is that he should not stand in an equal line with the imam. Rather, he should stand at least a little behind the imam. This condition should be observed in all parts of the prayer including rukū‘ and sajdah.
Issue No. 2010- Lending can be done in two ways; either a formal formula is pronounced in English or Arabic, for example, a person says to another one,” I lend this property to you,” and he also accepts it, or without uttering a word, he gives a property to some other person with the intention of lending and he also takes it with the intention of borrowing.
Issue No.1917- The agency agreement can be made by pronouncing its formula in English or Arabic or any other languages. And if a person conveys to another person, by indication, that he has made him his agent and the other person also indication himself in a way to convey that he has accepted that position (e.g., if he places his property at the agent’s disposal so that he may sell it on his behalf, and the agent takes the property for that purpose), the agency is in order.
Issue No.1976- If a person wishes to stand surety for the repayment of the debt of another person, he can utter the verbal formula in English or Arabic or any other language and say, for example, “I guarantee to pay the debt of Mr. so and so”, and the creditor also says, “I have accepted it” or he can do it by signing the surety agreement, or doing any other act that makes the creditor understand this matter, and he (the creditor) also accepts it.
Issue No. 2440- The formula for the agreement of insurance can be pronounced in any language, or the agreement can be written down and signed.
Issue No.1965- The mortgage agreement can either be pronounced verbally, for example, if the debtor says, “I leave this property as mortgage with you against that debt” and the creditor also says, “I have accepted it”, or that the debtor gives his property to the creditor with the intention of providing security for the debt and the creditor takes it with the same intention, the mortgage is in order.
Issue No.1842- The formula of compromise can be pronounced in Arabic, English or any languages. Rather, any practical step which clearly indicates that the two parties involved want to compromise through it will be sufficient.
