Exchanging Debts of a Khums debtor

However, if it is lost, the obligatory precaution is that he should pay it again from his own property, and he himself should bear the transportation costs. If he gives it to the representative of the Mujtahid, and he takes it from one town to another and it is lost, the khums payer will be under no obligation.
