Issue No. 1309Method of Offering Eid Prayer

The Du‘ā in Qunūt

Issue No. 1309- Any Du‘ā will suffice in qunūt. However, it is better that the following Du'ā is recited with the intention of gaining divine reward:“اَللّهُمَّ اَهْلَ الْکِبْرِياءِ وَ الْعَظِمَة وَ اَهْلَ الْجُودِ وَ الْجَبَرُوتِ وَ اَهْلَ الْعَفْوِ وَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَ اَهْلَ التَّقْوى وَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ اَسْئَلُکَ بِحَقِّ هذَا الْيَوْمِ الَّذِى جَعَلْتَهُ لِلْمُسْلِمينَ عيداً وَ لِمحَمَّد صَلَّى اللّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ ذُخْراً وَ شَرَفاً وَ کِرامَةً وَ مَزيداً اَنْ تُصَلِّىَ عَلى مُحَمَّد وَ آلِ مُحَمَّد وَ اَنْ تُدْخِلَنِى فى کُلِّ خَيْر اَدْخَلْتَ فيهِ مُحَمَّداً وَ آلَ مُحَمَّد وَ اَنْ تُخْرِجَني مِنْ کُلِّ سُوء اَخْرَجْتَ مِنْهُ مُحَمَّداً وَ آلَ مُحَمَّد صَلَواتُکَ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمْ اَللّهُمَّ اِنّى اَسْئَلُکَ خَيْرَ ما سَئَلَکَ بِهِ عِبادُکَ الصّالِحُونَ وَ اَعُوذُ بِکَ مِمّا اسْتَعاذَ مِنْهُ عِبادُکَ الْمـُخْلَصُونَ”

Issue No. 2157- If a man has given revocable divorce to his wife, he cannot expel her out of the house in which she was residing at the time of divorce, except in certain cases, details of which have been explained in detailed books of jurisprudence). It is also haram for the wife to go out of that house for an unnecessary matter without the man’s consent.

The Duty of Breastfeeding Women

Issue No. 1454- A woman which is suckling a child; whether she is the mother or a wet nurse; If fasting causes reducing her milk and then causes harm or discomfort to the child, it will not be obligatory on her to observe fast but she should give one mudd of food for every fast to an indigent person, and she should also perform the qaḍā of the fasts later. However, if fasting is harmful to her own self, neither the fast nor the kaffāra will be obligatory on her. Nevertheless, she should later perform the fasts which she failed to observe as qaḍā.

The Duty of Guest If He Notices the Najāsah of the Food

Issue No.157- If a host comes to know, while having a meal, that the food is najis, he must inform the guests about it, as an obligatory precaution. If, however, one of the guests becomes aware of this fact, he must refrain from eating but it is not necessary to inform the rest about it. However, if his interaction with the other guests is such that he himself may become najis, he can inform them about the najāsah of the food when the meal is over so that they rinse their hands and mouths.

The Duty of Menarcheal Women

Issue No.475- Menarcheal women are women who menstruate for the first time. Such women should consider their bleeding as ḥayḍ if it lasts for less than ten days. However, if it exceeds ten days and the blood is of the same nature during that period, she should consider the menstrual period of her kinswomen as was mentioned in the previous issue and consider the rest as istiḥāḍah.

Issue No. 1562- If a group of Muslims invade another group, they should prevent the invading group from aggression until they submit to Allah’s command. In case, Muslims acquire any booties, they cannot treat them as their own properties, rather, they should keep them and return them in due time, except for those things which, if returned, will be a cause for corruption and continuation of aggression, then in such a case, they should be used in a proper way with the permission of the Mujtahid or his representative.

Issue No. 477Nāsīyah

The Duty of Nāsīyah

Issue No.477- “Nāsīyah” is a woman who has forgotten the duration of her menstrual period, its time, or both of them. In the case of forgetting the duration, if she sees blood for ten days or less, all of it is ḥayḍ, and if she sees blood for more than ten days, those days in which the blood bears the signs of ḥayḍ should be considered as ḥayḍ, provided that it is no less than three, and no more than ten days. However, if it is more than ten days, or the blood bears similar signs on all of the days, the obligatory precaution is to treat the first seven days as ḥayḍ and the rest as istiḥāḍah.

Issue No. 454Rules regarding a Ḥā’iḍ Woman

The Duty of One Who Becomes Ṭāhir at the End of Time

Issue No.454- If a ḥā’iḍ woman becomes ṭāhir when the time for prayers is nearing its end, and finds that she does not have enough time for ghusl, but she has time to perform tayammum and offer one rak‘at of prayer within the prescribed time and the rest out of the time, then it is not obligatory for her to offer that prayer. However, if regardless of the shortage of time, it is incumbent upon her to perform tayammum due to other reasons, like when water is harmful to her, she should perform tayammum and offer that prayer.

Issue No. 717Rules of Qiblah

The Duty of One Who Cannot Sit and Offer Prayer

Issue No.717- If a person cannot offer prayer in the sitting posture, he should lie on the right hand side in such a manner that the front part of the body would face the qiblah. And if that is not possible either, he should lie on the left hand side in such a manner that the front part of his body would face the qiblah. And if even that is not possible, he should lie on his back in such a manner, that the soles of his feet face the qiblah.
