Issue No. 2442- If the sperm of a man is inserted into his wife’s womb, the baby born is legitimate and belongs to that man and his wife even if the preliminaries of insemination are haraam. Hence, therefore, the child enjoys all the rights of a normal child such as inheritance, subsistence, etc.

Issue No.2353- If the deceased’s own paternal uncle and aunt and the maternal uncle and aunt and their children do not exist, then the paternal uncle and aunt and the maternal uncle and aunt of the deceased’s parents will inherit, and if they do not exist, their descendants will inherit. And in the absence of their descendants, the paternal uncle and aunt and the maternal uncle and aunt of the deceased’s grandparents will inherit and if they are not alive, the property is inherited by their descendants.

Issue No.21- Water is either mixed (muḍāf) or unmixed (muṭlaq). Water which is mixed with something like syrup, or extracted from something like rosewater, fruit juice, etc., and is not called merely water anymore, is called mixed water. That which can be plainly called “water” without any clauses or qualifiers, is referred to as unmixed (muṭlaq) water, like all the normal waters out there.

Issue No.22- Unmixed water is of five types, each having its own ruling. The five types of unmixed water are:1) Kurr Water 2) Less than Kurr Water (Qalīl) 3) Flowing Water (Jārī) and tap water, 4) Rainwater 5) Well water.All of these types of water are ṭāhir and muṭahhir (make ṭāhir) but mixed water does not make things ṭāhir; it becomes najis upon contact with a najis substance.

Issue No.34- Water which springs from the earth and flows (like the water of a spring or a qanat) or flows from condensed snow in the mountains is called flowing water.

Issue No.41- Rainwater is to be treated as flowing water, and if it reaches anything najis, it will make it ṭāhir, irrespective of whether it is earth, body, carpet or other than these, provided that there is no original najāsah on them and that the ghusālah (the water with which it has been washed) separates from it.
