Pets, wild and Predator Animals and Insects

Issue No. 2256- It is halal to eat the meat of animals like, cow, sheep, domestic camels, as well as the meat of wild cows, sheep, goats, donkeys and deer. However, it is makrūh to eat the meat of horses, mules and donkeys. It is haram to eat the meat of predatory animals in general, and also the meat of elephants, rabbits and insects.

Issue No.842- Adhān consists of eighteen parts, and they are as follow:اَللهُ اَکْبَرُ (four times)(Allah is greater than any des c r i p tion)اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لا اِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ (two times)(I testify that there is no god but Allah)اَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً رَسُولُ اللهِ (two times)(I testify that Muhammad is Allah’s Messenger)حَىَّ عَلَي الصَّلاةِ (two times)(Hasten to prayer)حَىَّ عَلَي الْفَلاحِ (two times)(Hasten to success and prosperity)حَىَّ عَلي خَيْرِ الْعَمَلِ (two times)(Hasten to the best acts which is prayer)اَللهُ اَکْبَرُ (two times)(Allah is greater than any des c r i p tion)لا اِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ (two times)(There is no god but Allah) As for iqāmah, it consists of seventeen parts like adhān, except that in iqāmah, Allahu Akbar is reduced, in the beginning to twice, and at the end " لا اِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ " to once, and after " حَىَّ عَلي خَيْرِ الْعَمَلِ ", " قَدْ قامَتِ الصَّلاةُ" (i.e., Prayer is certainly beginning) must be pronounced twice.

Issue No. 97- Small pieces of skin which peel from the lips or other parts of the body are ṭāhir. However, if they are removed with force, they should be avoided as an obligatory precaution.

Places Where It Is Haram to Relieve Oneself

Issue No.70- It is haram to relieve oneself in the following places:1) In alleys and roads used by people.2) At a place which is endowed (given as waqf) exclusively for its beneficiaries, like some religious schools that are dedicated for students, or mosques whose toilets are exclusively for those who perform their prayers therein.3) On the graves of Momineen or anywhere else regarded as disrespectful to the momeneen or any other sanctities.

Places Which Are Makrūh to Pray In

Issue No.821- It is befitting not to offer prayer in the following places:Bathroom; salt marsh; facing a person who is either sitting or standing; facing an open door; on roads or sidewalks of streets provided that it does not cause inconvenience to others. )If it does, it is haram). Similarly, if one performs prayer facing fire or a lamp, in the kitchen, and at any place where there is a furnace, facing a well or a pit for waste water, and facing the picture or statue of living creatures, (unless it is covered) and at a place where there is a picture, even if it may not be placed in front of him; facing a grave, on the grave and in the graveyard.

Places in Which One Has the Option to Perform Complete or Qaṣr Prayer

Issue No. 1182- A traveller can offer either complete or qaṣr prayer at the following four places: city of “Mecca”, city of “Medina” (regarding these two cities, the rule applies to both new city as well as the old one) Masjid of Kufa, and in the shrine of Imam Husain (as). It is meant by the shrine under the dome and porches. Of course, offering complete prayer at these places is preferred.

Issue No. 945Sajdah (Prostration)

Placing Seven Limbs on the Grouns for Sajdah

Issue No.945- While performing the sajdah, it is obligatory to place these seven limbs on the ground: the forehead, the palms of hands, the knees, and the tips of both the two big toes of the feet. And if one, intentionally, does not place one of these limbs on the earth, his sajdah is void, and in case he does not place his forehead even forgetfully on the earth, his sajdah would be void. However, if he places his forehead on the earth but inadvertently does not place some other limbs on the ground, the sajdah is correct.
