The Duty of Guest If He Notices the Najāsah of the Food

Issue No.157- If a host comes to know, while having a meal, that the food is najis, he must inform the guests about it, as an obligatory precaution. If, however, one of the guests becomes aware of this fact, he must refrain from eating but it is not necessary to inform the rest about it. However, if his interaction with the other guests is such that he himself may become najis, he can inform them about the najāsah of the food when the meal is over so that they rinse their hands and mouths.

Issue No.163- Making a page of the holy Quran ṭāhir is not only the duty of the one who has made it najis, but it is the duty of anyone who notices this and if one does it, the others would no longer be under any obligation. If however, the holy Qur'an belongs to someone else and it is ruined or damaged after washing, the one who has made it najis must compensate for the damage.

Issue No.176- In order to wash a najis container with less than kurr water, it should be filled and emptied three times, or each time, water should be poured into it, moved around in a way that water reaches all its najis parts, and then emptied.

Issue No.177- When it comes to washing large containers like cauldrons and crocks, they must be filled up and emptied three times, or, an easier way would be to pour water each time from above on all inner sides of it and every time, draw out the water collected at the bottom; it is necessary to rinse the bowl used for drawing out the water each time.

Issue No.180- A najis object will become ṭāhir if it is washed with kurr, flowing or tap water enough that the original najāsah is removed or when it is immersed in kurr or flowing water after removing the original najāsah. However in the case of carpets, clothes, etc., they must also be wrung or shaken so that the water absorbed within them separates.
