Issue No.674- If a person forgetfully begins offering ‘aṣr prayer before ẓuhr prayer and during the prayer he realises that he has committed a mistake, if it is in the common time, he should change his intention to ẓuhr prayer, i.e., he should intend that what he has performed as well as what is he about to perform is of ẓuhr prayer, and after completing the prayer, he will offer the ‘aṣr prayer. However, if it occurs in the exclusive time of ẓuhr prayer, his prayer is void and he should start the prayer over again with the intention of ẓuhr.

Issue No.678- If a person begins ‘ishā’ prayer by mistake before maghrib prayer and realises during the prayer that he has not offered maghrib prayer, he should turn his intention to maghrib prayer, unless he has entered the fourth rak‘at, in which case, it is not permitted to do so, and he should continue to complete the ‘ishā’ prayer and thereafter pray maghrib.

Issue No. 1743- If a person needs to get married and has no money for ḥajj other than the money for the expenses of marriage, ḥajj is not obligatory on him.

Issue No.737- If a person does not know that his body or clothes are najis and he comes to know about it after having offered the prayer, his prayer is correct. However, if a person forgets that his body or clothes are najis and recollects this while offering prayer, or after having performed the prayer, he should offer the prayer again and if the time prescribed for that prayer has passed he should offer its qaḍā.

Issue No.929- A person who performs rukū‘ in the sitting posture should bend so much so that it can be said that he has done rukū‘.

Issue No.870- If he offers the prayer itself for Allah but he offers it at a particular place, e.g. in a mosque or at a particular time, e.g., at the beginning of the time or in a special manner, e.g., in congregation, in order to show off, his prayer is void. However, if it is not for showing off, but because it is easier for him to offer it in mosque or at the beginning of the time, then there will be no problem.

Issue No.303- If a person is short in time for prayer, he should perform tayammum instead of wuḍū. If he performs wuḍū for prayer, his wuḍū is valid but he should not perform wuḍū in the same case.

Issue No.746- The clothes that a person uses for offering prayer, as an obligatory precaution, should be permissible, and if he offers prayer with usurped clothes intentionally, even if a piece of thread or a button of it is be usurped, he should offer the prayer again. However, if he did not know that it was usurped, and offered prayer in it, his prayer would be correct. Similarly, if he knew that it was usurped but then forgot about it, and offered prayer with it, his prayer would be valid, provided that he himself is not the usurper. If he himself had usurped something and then forgot that he had usurped it and offered prayer with it, the obligatory precaution in this case, is to repeat the prayer.

Issue No.909- If while reciting al-fātiḥa and the following sūrah a person realises that he has been reciting loudly or in whispering manner while he should not have; it is not necessary to repeat what he has recited, although it is better to do so.

Issue No.739- If a person realises after prayer that his body or his clothes were najis, his prayer is correct whether it is in the time of the prayer or after it.

Issue No. 1178- If one decides to stay at a place for ten days, under the impression that his companions intend to stay there for ten days, but after offering a four-rak‘at prayer it transpires that they have not intended this, and he changes his mind as well, he should offer complete prayer so long as he is there.

Issue No.915- If a person believes that a dhikr or a certain word is pronounced correctly and performed his prayers in that way for a period of time, but comes to know later that he was [pronouncing it] wrong, it is not necessary for him to offer the previous prayers again, although the recommended precaution is to offer them again at their time or perform their qaḍā if the time has passed.
