Issue No. 1375- If a person thinks that he has time for performing ghusl and enters the state of janābah deliberately, and finds out later that the time was short and performs tayammum, his fast will be correct.
Issue No. 1377- A person who is junub in the night of the month of Ramadan, and is certain or sees a probability in waking up before the fajr before going to sleep; In case he is determined to perform ghusl upon waking up and does not wake up until fajr, his fast will be correct. However, if he does not intend to do ghusl then or is reluctant about it, in such a case, his fast is void as an obligatory precaution if he does not wake up.
Issue No. 1378- If such a person sleeps and wakes up and knows or sees a probability that if he goes to sleep once again he will wake up to perform ghusl before the fajr adhān, and remains asleep till the fajr adhān, he should offer the qaḍā of the fast of that day as an obligatory precaution. The same ruling applies if he sleeps for the third time and does not wake up. However, kaffāra does not become obligatory in any of these cases.
Issue No. 1380- If a person who is fasting has a seminal discharge while sleeping during the day, it is better to perform ghusl immediately. However, if he does not perform ghusl, it will not harm his fast.
Issue No. 1381- If a person wakes up in the month of Ramadan and after the fajr adhān, and realizes that he has had a seminal discharge, his fast is valid whether he may know that he had the discharge before the fajr adhān or after adhān, or he may doubt the situation.
Issue No. 1391- It is not obligatory for a person who is fasting to restrain himself from vomiting, but if it does not cause any harm or hardship to him, it is better to restrain himself from vomiting.
Issue No. 1395- If a person who is fasting inadvertently commits one of the invalidators and thinking that his fast has become void intentionally commits another invalidator, as an obligatory precaution he should for the rest of the day, refrain from all invalidators. He furthermore, should offer the qaḍā. He is not subject to kaffāra though.
Issue No. 1398- Certain things are makrūh for a person who is fasting, some of them are mentioned below:1- Using eye drops. 2- Applying kohl if its taste or smell reaches the throat. 3- Performing an act which causes weakness, like drawing blood from the body or showering. 4- Using snuff or the like if one is not aware that it might reach the throatand if it is known that it will reach the throat it is not permissible.5- Smelling fragrant herbs.6- Sitting in water for women, based on precaution. (Meaning it is better not to do so)7- Using suppository, based on precaution. (Meaning it is better not to do so) 8- Wetting the clothes which one is wearing.9- Pulling out a tooth or every act which leads to weakness and bleeding in the mouth.10- Cleaning the teeth with a fresh wood.11- Kissing the wife without the intention of semen being discharged and every act which arouses lust. However if he does anything with the intention of discharging semen, his fast becomes void.
Issue No. 1430- If a person has to perform qaḍā for Ramadan fasts of several years, he can commence the qaḍā of Ramadan of any year desired. However, if the time for qaḍā fasts of the last Ramadan is short, he should as an obligatory precaution, perform qaḍā fast of the last one.
Issue No. 1455- If there is another woman who may suckle the child without charge or someone pays to a wet nurse without degrading of ones self, it is obligatory on the former woman to observe fast.
Issue No. 1465- If a doctor was to state that fasting is harmful to a person, but he has found out through experience that it is not harmful to him, he should observe fast. However, if it is not known that it is harmful, he can experience fasting for a few days and then act as per the above-mentioned ruling.
Issue No. 1466- If a person who believes that fasting is not harmful to him, observes fast and realises after maghrib that it was harmful to him, he should, as a recommended precaution perform it as qaḍā.
